The guiding light and methodology throughout this Mission will be the abiding Spirit of God and the Truth of His Word.  All matters will be viewed and acted upon to serve God’s will and His truth and all our work will be based on a foundation of Christ.  The “devices and desires of man” are carefully guarded against by a solid Board of outspoken, independent, proven, born-again Christians.  There is another reason for being squarely based on God’s will; we aim to produce fruit, and lots of it.  The Scriptures are clear on that.

Such a harvest, such “success”, requires every form of power, from money to motivation.  The one true power, that transcends anything mortal man can make, is God’s own power.

This He freely gives His servants in the execution of His will.  We are determined to avail ourselves of this power, of this His most awesome power, as stewards of His Purpose for us, and for the resources He has and will give us.  To engage such Holy power requires utter faithfulness to His will and His ways.

Such purity of purpose, such constant devotion to God, will require our utmost dedication and self discipline, as well as a crystal clear set of standards and best practices – all based squarely on His word alone.  We aim to avoid that which has crushed the life out of many fine Christian movements and communities – namely the slow and invisible departure from His way.  Let’s look at what God says about all this.

    Scriptural Basis
Apart from the leading of the Holy Spirit towards God’s specific will, God has given us numerous scriptures over recent years relating specifically to this Mission.  These may be equally addressed to our co-workers and our supporters in this Mission:

Isaiah 58:10 “And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”

Psalm 82:3-4 “Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed.  Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

James 2:14 “What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works?  Can this kind of faith save him?  If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well”, but you do not give them what the body needs, what good is it?  So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.”

Luke 10:2 “He said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

Psalm 62:12 “Surely you will reward each person according to what he has done.”

Isaiah 41:13 “For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

Isaiah 41:17 “The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst.  But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.”

Matthew 7:21-23 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.  Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

Hebrews 10:7 “Then I said, ‘Here I am: I have come to do your will, O God.”

To do God’s will is clearly the heart of Jesus, not just an essential command from the Scriptures.  The heart to do God’s will is likewise at the heart of this Mission.
